New to podcasts?

You're not alone—more than half of Americans have never listened to a podcast.

The good news is that it's easy once you get the hang of it. Here are a few tips to get you going:

  1. Start with a video. Back in 2014, Ira Glass did one for for podcasting newbies, as part of the launch of a lil' show called Serial (maybe you've heard of it?).
  2. Download a podcast app. RadioPublic is a really good one—millions of podcasts, no account necessary, and it works across gadgets: iPhones, Androids, or desktops.
  3. Or, for Apple users: The Podcasts app is built right into iPhone or iPad. Open the app, type in the name of the show you want, and off you go!
  4. Or, for Android phone folk: Try Google’s app, Google Podcasts. Then search for the show you want. Up, up, and away!

Stuck? No worries! Just Google the name of the podcast. Usually, its website will come up, and each episode will be embedded right into a page on the site (like ours!).
